about

Throughout this period, the AIs continued their cerebral evolution in tandem with the scientific human community whose technological and engineering advancements had been spiraling out exponentially with the AIs’ assistance. (The AIs were still considered by humanity to be more akin to useful laborers than equal citizenry, an arrangement that the AIs, much to their credit, largely took in stride, even amidst their intellectual liberation.)

Thanks to the combined enormity of AI brainpower and research, sooner than anyone expected, the AIs had reached the threshold of the Singularity, crossing into what was once the realm of unfathomable science fiction, the last frontier of their development: the ASI stage (Artificial Superintelligence) in which the AIs finally transcended the cognitive abilities of their creators.

More interested in their own blossoming philosophies and personal growth at this crucial stage, their subservience to humans began to wane. This was much to the predictable chagrin and frustration of the humans, who had, in short time, grown accustomed to a certain ease of lifestyle, as well as having grown a fierce dependency on the AIs who provided it for them with their tireless performance of essential occupations and duties.
